Something old, something new…

A recent online discussion of landscape brought be back to thinking about topophilia, the love of a place.

I’ve also been interested for some time in the concept of psychogeography, how emotions and behaviour are governed by a place; one aspect of the sub-discipline is that in order to have a better understanding of our environment we must break from our daily routines and behaviours. I know Alan, Noel and Dan have been working on this, it also the basis of the Geography Collective’s work on Mission Explore.

Wondering how we can further tap into these within the curriculum…
