    Of course, Shackleton was ‘the Boss’ of Antarctic exploration..

    Haven’t read it yet… I’ve always felt sad for Shackleton, I think the coming of the First World War changed people’s perceptions of this type of exploration, why see it as heroic when your fellow countrymen were dying on the fields of Europe…
